I am very excited to finally be able to see Fitz and The Tantrums live next week. I have enjoyed them for a few years now, but have been told numerous time that if I can see them live, do it. Such a good band!

Let me start off by saying, I have known this kid since he was 17 or 18 years old. One day when he was working as an intern for an old production company i worked for, he came up to me and said “Jessie I am a rapper.” I laughed so hard I almost peed in my pants. This kid is the walking definition of a white frat boy- god love him (he also says some of the best one liners and we started a twitter feed of his sayings. Check it out). He then made me listen to a song of his. While is was very entertaining, I didn’t think he should quit school and follow his rapping dreams. Fast forward to about 3 years later and we find ourselves working together again and he told me he started a website for his songs. I couldn’t pull my smart phone out of my purse fast enough to have a listen. Oh my golly, this stuff was light years better then the last thing I listened to and I couldn’t believe this was really little Andrew singing. His music always puts a smile on my face. Not only can he rap, he is also hilarious. So take a listen and below is his picture, just so you can really get the point! Also, we are planning to shoot a music video for one of his songs soon. I’ll keep you posted.

Please tell me you have heard of Holy Ghost Tent Revival . They are based out of Greensboro, NC and tour the east coast a lot. I know, in the past year, I have seen them more times then I can count and they put on such a great show. You really should check them out, if you get a chance. Paolo Nutini is hands down my favorite artist out there. He is from Scotland and I wish he was bigger over here, so he would tour here more often. I was lucky enough to see him a few years back at bonnaroo and he is amazing live. It’s was really hard for me to pick a sing to post, I love them all, but this one holds a special place for me.

Love these guys so much. How much you ask? Well, I have them as my ringtone on my phone. I have missed a lot of calls because I would rather dance to the song then stop it and pick up the phone. True story. Uncle Mountain are from Asheville, NC and are about to head up North for a tour. If you are up there, you should check them out. They are great live and just a great group of guys. I couldn’t possibly start a music blog without putting up one of my current obsessions. Gabriel Kelley is a Nashville, TN based singer/songwriter and his music is just haunting and beautiful and not to mention he is just an awesome guy. He played on our show, 11 o’clock rock (on knoxivi.com- check it out) and I haven’t been able to stop listening to him since.
